What started as a small dream of mine has grown into something much deeper. This farm is more than land and livestock. It's a lesson in starting, staying, and seeing things through. I wanted to give my kids the 'farm-life' childhood. A place rooted in resilience, purpose, compassion, and a love for slower living. I'm Meghan, owner and founder of Whiskey Springs Farm, LLC. I am the planner and the dreamer and building this farm has been an extreme learning experience. I'm a first generation farmer and learning as I go. Joey is my ride or die. My partner in crime, the fixer of all things, and the calm in the chaos. I'm thankful for his guidance and his unconditional support. I also get to do this adventure right alongside my kids. They're the reason behind it all. They help when they can, learn on the go, and love the animals hard. This farm is as much theirs as it is mine. My parents are huge supporters of my vision, the farm, and all of my crazy ideas. I am thankful to have so many people in my corner on this ride. 

I originally started our farm with the sole intention of breeding miniature and mid-sized Scottish Highlands. In the meantime, I planned to dabble in agritourism and would only plan to invite people out to the farm until our animals were of breeding age. What began as a small addition quickly grew into a meaningful part of what we do. Agritourism created space for connection; time with my kids, moments shared with the community, and the kind of simple joy that leaves people smiling long after they leave.

Our hobby farm is home to a herd of miniature and mid-size Scottish Highlands, miniature donkeys, kune kune pigs, Nigerian dwarf goats, and ducks and chickens. All raised with care and intention. What began in 2023 became something worth holding onto, and today, it stands as a reminder to my kids (and anyone who visits) that the things we care about in life are worth showing up for; even when the path shifts. We continue to open our space for agritourism experiences, giving others the chance to slow down, connect with the animals, and experience a little bit of farm life for themselves.
